1:1 Therapy

Individual therapy tailored to your child or young person.

Therapy that makes a difference.

Successful therapy depends on building strong relationships. It starts with understanding your child: their strengths and the areas where they need support. Together, we will agree on clear, realistic goals and find an approach that works for them.

I will also work with the people in your child’s life, so that their new skills are supported wherever they are needed. By sharing practical strategies with families, schools and other professionals, we can create a consistent approach that works.

I can also help with:

  • early literacy and phonics

  • learning and curriculum support

  • learning how to learn

  • problem-solving and friendships

  • communication needed for interviews, education or the workplace

A specialist, individual approach

Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. I draw on a wide range of specialist approaches, adapting therapy to your child's age, communication profile, strengths and individual needs.

Depending on your child’s need, therapy may draw on approaches including:

  • PROMPT and motor-based approaches to speech

  • TalkTools and oral placement approaches

  • visual communication and AAC

  • parent-child interaction approaches

  • conversational and naturalistic language approaches

  • structured approaches to language and social communication, including ‘Colourful Semantics’.

The approach is always chosen to fit the child, rather than fitting the child to a particular therapy programme.
