Not every communication difficulty needs a therapy programme. Sometimes the biggest difference comes from helping the adults around a child or young person understand their communication and know how best to support them.
The Coaching Hub brings together my consultancy, coaching and training services for parents, professionals and education settings. Support can range from a single consultation to ongoing consultancy, training or whole-setting development.
Support for schools and educational settings
I work with schools and education settings to help them understand and respond effectively to speech, language and communication needs.
Support can range from advice about an individual area of need to a wider review of communication across the school, alongside training and strategic consultancy.

Effective communication support is about more than individual interventions. I work with schools to take a strategic look at communication across the whole setting.
This might include:
reviewing the communication environment and classroom practice
identifying patterns of need across the school
evaluating existing support and interventions
considering staff knowledge, skills and resources

Together, we can turn this into a clear, practical and sustainable strategy that builds on what is already working and supports meaningful change across the school and produce better outcomes for pupils with speech, language and communication needs.

Training and supervision can be tailored to the needs of your school, staff and pupils, from introductory sessions to more specialist professional development.

Alongside consultancy and training, the Coaching Hub will offer practical resources and self-paced learning that schools and professionals can use in their own time.
Resources will focus on translating evidence and specialist knowledge into practical approaches that can be used in everyday settings.
Elklan training
I am a licensed Elklan tutor and can provide accredited Elklan training for schools and education settings.
Elklan programmes provide practical, evidence-informed training to help education staff understand speech, language and communication needs and develop strategies they can use in everyday classroom practice.
Training is available for staff working with children and young people across different age groups and can support schools wishing to develop a more communication-friendly approach.
Elklan training can be offered as a stand-alone programme or as part of a wider package of consultancy, training and school development.
